At Home Veterinary Euthanasia
Compassion At Home is the first solely at-home euthanasia service for companion pets in the St. John's area. Some veterinary clinics will offer this service to a select clientele.
Compassion At Home is a registered and licensed veterinary clinic with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Veterinarians. At this time, we do not practice veterinary medicine that is outside the scope of that described throughout this website.
This service incorporates a telephone consultation, travel to your home, physical examination, sedation, euthanasia and options for your pet's remains after they have passed.
In order to ensure the safety of all those involved, services must be paid prior to the visit. Currently, we accept email money transfers.
The founder, owner and operator of Compassion At Home is Dr. Krista Ann Puddester, DVM. Dr. Puddester graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2004. She also spent 2 years of her veterinary training in Glasgow, Scotland. Upon graduation from AVC, Dr. Puddester spent 2 years in mixed animal practise in Houlton, Maine. She returned to her home province of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2006 to pursue a career as a federal veterinarian. Since her return, she continues her small animal practice on a part-time basis at Topsail Road Veterinary Clinic. Her extra-curricular activities include spending time with her husband and daughter.
Dr. Puddester opened Compassion At Home after identifying the need for at-home euthanasia. She strives to provide her clients with a peaceful and compassionate experience in the delivery of this service.
